Experience Light, Art, Culture and Sandy Beaches at the Top of Denmark.
Danhostel Skagen located at the northernmost part of Denmark is surrounded by white sand beaches, nature reserves and a unique light.
Danhostel Skagen is close to the city centre and offers accommodation to singles, couples, families and groups. There are a total of 127 beds in newly renovated family rooms - 12 en-suite rooms, and 12 with shared bathrooms. In addition, there is a playground for children, a TV room, guest kitchen, and a traditional Danish breakfast buffet is served every morning.
Skagen is renowned for Golden Age Art, beaches and light. Artwork of famous Skagen artists can be viewed at Skagen Museum and Michael and Anna Ancher's House. This is a great opportunity to experience excellent original Danish dishes, fresh seafood meals, organic Angus steaks, and other cuisines from various countries at the many restaurants and eateries in Skagen. Skagen’s Brewery is worth a visit. It offers beer tasting, guided tours, live music and great food.
A trip in Sandormen (the wagon pulled by a tractor) is recommended when you visit Grenen, the tip of Denmark. Here you can stand with one foot in the Kattegat and the other in the Skagerrak seas - an experience you will never forget as the waves lap around your feet from both directions.
Expect a fantastic holiday atmosphere anytime of the year and lots of activities for both young and old in the Danish City of light. Danhostel Skagen is open from the first of March to December each year, and guarantees a cosy and relaxed atmosphere.
