Good news – many Danhostels across Denmark welcome dogs, so you never have to leave your best friend behind.
School Camps at Danhostel for more than 20 Years
For more than 20 years, Marie Kruses School in Farum has held yearly school camps at Danhostel Ribe. Teacher, Anders Krarup, celebrates the fact that he has been to all 20 school camps.
His school, along with other institutions, have a tradition of holding school camp at Danhostel Ribe, and there are several reasons why schools come back repeatedly. One is that Danhostel’s staff are experts at offering the right prices to school camps and groups.
Ribe and South Jutland are a Classic School Camp Destination
Each year, the students at Marie Kruse’s School visit the Wadden Sea to study plants, animals and the natural phenomena in the Wadden Sea National Park. With sand on their feet and mud on their hands, the water becomes the classroom for Biology lessons. The Wadden Sea Centre assists by creating the right setting for the day’s education.
Historic South Jutland
A history lesson is also on the agenda during school camp in South Jutland and includes a tour to Dybbøl Banke and Ribe Viking Centre. Call Danhostel Ribe to find out more about activities for school camps.
Always Something New
For Anders Krarup, the trip is never boring because there are different students each year. All take advantage of various offers including Ribe Swim Centre and tours of the historic town of Ribe.
Proud Tradition
At Danhostel, we are happy to welcome the same school camps each year and offer them an educational and pleasant experience. We create an atmosphere where the young ones can return home with unforgettable memories. When they get older, they might choose to spend the holidays in Denmark and strengthen the Danish tourism industry.
