A.C. Perch’s Tea Shop

Hidden in a small side street near Strøget, A.C. Perch’s Tea Shop has been serving tea to Copenhageners since 1835. The shop is one of the oldest in Denmark and is still run by the same family, now in its fourth generation.

Stepping inside feels like travelling back in time. The wooden shelves, brass scales and gentle scent of tea create a calm, nostalgic atmosphere. The owners like to joke that the only things that have changed are the lights and the staff.

The shop offers more than 150 kinds of tea, with prices starting around 40 DKK per 100 grams. Upstairs, the elegant Tea Room invites you to enjoy traditional afternoon tea with scones, sandwiches, cakes and sparkling wine.

You can usually drop by without a reservation, but on weekends it is wise to book a table in advance. Whether you are a tea lover or simply enjoy beautiful, historic places, A.C. Perch’s Tea Shop is one of Copenhagen’s hidden gems.
