A delightful cycle route on gravel roads, nature trails and country roads via flat terrains and protected wetlands. West Stadil Fjord is a popular place for Danish birds, and their beautiful chirping can be heard throughout the trip to keep you company. Along the way, make a few stops and enjoy the wildlife or just listen to the sounds of nature.
It is recommended that you start the trip facing south, as the wind usually comes from the Southwest. Start the route wherever you want, but Vedersø Cliffs (Vedersø Klint) is an ideal location.
Along the way, learn how the area's inhabitants have adapted to the rugged western Jutland terrain over time. Drive past Kaj Munks Præstegård, where you can experience a small but unique exhibition about Kaj Munk, a Danish playwright and pastor. If you are into art, visit Willer Keramik (Willer Ceramics) - a small gallery and pottery shop where you can buy a snack and charge your phone at the café.
Before reaching the end of the route, hop off the cycle at Skelmosevej and obtain information about the many exciting bird species that live in the area. Afterwards, continue to Jens Bjerg-Thomsen's small hunting lodge, where you can experience an exhibition about one of Denmark's best authors and wildlife consultants.
The cycle path ends in Vesterhavsvej, so if there is any more power in your legs, continue towards Vedersø Klit, where the North Sea waits.
