Copenhagen Zoo
Just 10 minutes from Copenhagen Central Station, Copenhagen Zoo is one of Europe’s oldest and most beloved wildlife parks. Home to more than 3,000 animals, it is a must-see attraction for visitors of all ages.
Here you can meet Tasmanian devils, wombats and kangaroos, or watch brown bear cubs play in their natural surroundings. Visit the award-winning Elephant House, designed by architect Norman Foster, and explore the tropical Rainforest, where crocodiles, snakes and colourful birds roam freely.
Don’t miss the Polar Bear enclosure, where you can get close to these majestic animals as they swim and play. For one of the best views in Copenhagen, climb the 50-metre wooden tower with 182 steps — the panorama stretches across the city, Amager, Øresund Bridge and even to Roskilde on a clear day.
Copenhagen Zoo is open all year round, with seasonal events and changing opening hours. There are cafés, picnic areas and a gift shop for souvenirs, making it the perfect spot for a full day of adventure.
