Danhostel Frederikshavn City reviews
The hostel is housed in a beautiful old building.
There's a small, cozy common room, a self-catering kitchen, and a washing machine and dryer.
The kitchen looks good at first glance, but upon closer inspection, you can see the lack of maintenance in every corner.
The common room contains a TV, radio, and a games corner.
The TV only received three or four national channels, but that's it. The same applied to the radio, which only worked after being connected to an antenna.
Almost all the board games were lying in a mess in a box; basically all of them were junk.
Our room was functionally furnished, but the ancient carpet had seen better days.
Bedside lamps didn't work.
Window functions were limited.
The bathroom had basic amenities, but nothing more. The shower hadn't been cleaned in quite some time. The tile grout had disgusting brown edges almost all the way through. The shower curtain was stained and dirty.
Breakfast was OK.
In conclusion, the hostel lacks maintenance and is not recommended for anyone who places a higher value on hygiene.
Since we often stay in hostels, we can't recommend this one more!
Many things need renovation and much more maintenance!
Not attention to details like fixing windows and curtains, not vacuumed good enough, looks neglected. Hard pillows that look over used. But sheltered from the rains so thank you.
