Remember your fishing licence and local regulations

Before going fishing in Denmark, make sure you check the rules for the area where you plan to fish. As a general rule, anglers between the ages of 18 and 67 need a valid Danish fishing licence when fishing with a rod. Exceptions apply in certain places, including many put-and-take fishing lakes.

Local regulations may also apply, including protected areas, minimum catch sizes and closed seasons for certain species. It is therefore always a good idea to check the current fishing regulations before heading out.
