Danhostel Store Heddinge, built in 1940, is situated in peaceful surroundings in the centre of Store Heddinge.  Our hostel is special in that it is run as an employment project by the municipality and provides quality service to our guests.  We have 16 rooms - most of which have private bathrooms – plus a lovely garden, a covered deck, a cosy TV lounge, a playing field, mini golf, table tennis, petanque and several barbecue areas.  We provide free internet, free parking, laundry facilities and a guest kitchen. We are just 100 m from a swimming hall, a football field and a sports facility.  Danhostel Store Heddinge is the perfect base for visitors who want to enjoy the UNESCO World Heritage Site, Stevns Cliff (Klint).  

The area known as Store Heddinge is located on Stevns Peninsula. It is a beautiful area with forests, beaches, cycling and hiking trails, plus many attractions, including the UNESCO World Heritage Site, Stevns Cliff.  The 40 m high chalk cliff stretches from Bøgeskov Harbour to Rødvig Harbour via Trampestien and you can walk, cycle or jog the 21-km route.   Experience all the sights at the cliffs which include Bøgeskov harbour, Stevns Lighthouse, Højerup Church, the underground museum by Stevnsfort and Rødvig’s scenic marina.
