Book Your School Camp at Danhostel Hillerød.

Hold your school camp at Danhostel Hillerød and enjoy unique and exciting accommodation in scenic surroundings. Our hostel is within walking distance of Hillerød Centre, Frederiksborg Castle with its Baroque gardens, and Hillerød train station.

Danhostel Hillerød offers 45 comfortable rooms, most with private bathrooms. We provide free Wi-Fi, free parking, an internet cafe, bicycle rental, a TV lounge with a satellite dish and a living/dining area. We have table football, table tennis, air hockey and board games you can borrow free of charge. There is also the possibility to use our disco which has a soft drinks bar. Our kitchen makes exciting and healthy meals.

Outside we have table tennis, a large nature playground, volleyball, petanque and football pitches. In addition, we have a large campfire area with seats and tables.

For adventures close by, we provide maps and give you information on trails in Deer Park (Store Dyrehave). We arrange contact with a guide and help with orienteering with maps and a compass. MTB Tours and the hostel has a cooperation for renting MTB bikes. Contact us for futher information.

Beliggenhed tæt på skoven er der rig mulighed for nogle sjove og spændende naturoplevelser.

Kunst og Kultur

Hillerød rummer en mangfoldighed af kulturtilbud.

Bla. Frederiksborg Slot som ligger malerisk placeret ved bredden af Slots søen i Hillerød Her ligger også den fantastiske Slotshave. Dette enestående renæssanceanlæg blev byttet af Christian 4. I 1600- tallets første årti, som et udtryk for kongens position som en magtfuld nordeuropæisk monark. Efter en dramatisk brand slotsbrand i 1859 blev store dele af slottets indre ødelagt. Det store genopbygningsarbejde blev finansieret gennem landsindsamlinger og donationer fra private. Carlsberg bryggeriets grundlægger J.C.Jacobsen, tog aktiv del i projektet og foreslog i 1877 at gøre slottet til hjemsted for et nationalhistorisk museum. Museet fortæller 500 års danmarkshistorie gennem historiske malerier, portrætter, møbler og kunstindustri.
