Danhostel Sønderborg City school camps

Every year, Danhostel Sønderborg City look forward to welcoming many camp schools. We are within walking distance (approx. 2.5 km) of Sønderborg Train Station. The trip goes over Christian X's bridge and through Sønderborg.

Your school camp can stay in rooms for up to 8 guests. Each room has a private bathroom. Teachers can stay in ensuite rooms for 2. Single rooms can be booked at an extra cost. We offer free parking, and free Wi-Fi which students and teachers can use without charge.

On arrival, we meet with you and your school camp to discuss the practical aspects of your school camp accommodation.

The young ones will enjoy all our amenities. We have a large playing field, a beach volley ball court, a trampoline and many green areas.  There are table tennis and table football indoors. Borrow balls for football and beach volley ball, bats and table tennis balls for free. However, the replacement cost of anything that is broken or lost will be charged to the school camp.

Attractions such as Sønderborg Castle and Historic Centre Dybbøl Banke are within walking distance of Danhostel Sønderborg City.  There is the possibility to hike or jog on the 5 km path around Sønderborg on quaint cobbled streets. Universe Science Park and Frøslev Camp are also close by. We recommend that you book full and half day trips via the bus companies or through us.

We are aware of the multi-ethnic community we live in today, and that many people have food allergies and other dietary restrictions. As a result, we will provide meals based on the needs and requirements of your students. Please let us know in advance. Students can prepare their own packed lunches for the day's excursion.  Dinner is buffet-style. The last night of your stay will be exciting.  We will serve your school camp lemonade and cake, so you will have a pleasant end to your enjoyable stay with us.
