Danhostel Fjaltring groups

Apart from July and August, groups can rent the entire hostel. Many use our Danhostel for family reunions, gatherings, meetings and courses.

Danhostel Fjaltring is suitable for groups of up to 42 participants. The 42 beds are in 11 rooms. There are 8 rooms in the main house with 34 beds, and three rooms with 8 beds in a former teacher's house right next to the hostel. Rent them together or separately. Groups are usually self-catering.

Just outside the door is a sports area with a football pitch and outdoor exercise equipment, plus a direct connection to Fjaltring nature trail - away from traffic and noise. There is a large barbecue area, fireplace and a well-equipped covered outdoor kitchen with a large dining table. At the sports area, there is a large well-equipped playground and a half-pipe for skaters in the schoolyard.

The nearby beach which is 600 m away, is suitable for surfing, stand-up kayaking and sea kayaking. At Bovbjerg Lighthouse just 5 km from our hostel there are great opportunities for paragliding when there is a west wind.

The North Sea route goes right past the hostel. From our hostel to the fishing harbour in Thyborøn, there is a cycle path which runs almost all the way and there is traffic on only two very short stretches of road. You can also take Lemvigbanen (train) 5 km from the hostel one way.

There are various challenging routes for mountain bike lovers in the nearby Klosterhede Plantation.
