Danhostel Nykøbing Mors
Danhostel Nykøbing Mors, situated by a delightful child-friendly blue flag beach, is surrounded by forests and parklands and is only 900 m from the town centre and the harbour. Our entire hostel is handicap-friendly and offers 28 rooms, all with private bathrooms, cosy dining and lounge areas, TV, a kiosk, laundry facilities, various indoor games and outdoor table tennis, beach volleyball, tennis courts, bonfire site and large areas for other activities. In addition, we have access to several football pitches, cricket grounds and golf courses. We have a restaurant, banquet rooms, and meeting facilities with modern AV equipment.
Nykøbing, the largest town on Mors, is located on the eastern side of the island. The Sallingsund Bridge links Mors to the island of Salling, while Vilsund Bridge connects Mors to Thy. Mors is well-known for its diatomite or moler, so this provides a great opportunity to go fossil hunting.
While on Mors, try horseback riding, go on an oyster safari, or hop on the ferry and experience a seal safari. If you love flowers, visit Jesperhus Flower Park, the largest flower park in Scandinavia with a variety of flowers, plants, a butterfly reserve, 4D cinema, playground, water park, jungle and a bowling alley. Take a trip to Morsland's History Museum, Moler Museum or Danish Foundry Museum, and Dueholm Monastery, dating back to 1370. Hanklit, the 61-metre-high dune with a dark band of volcanic ash, exhibits the island's dramatic geological history. Visit the enigmatic doll castle, Højriis Castle, one of Denmark's oldest manor houses from the 1800s, and take part in the investigation of a fictitious murder.
Enjoy the wind in your hair, a blue flag beach, and a host of activities when you stay at Danhostel Nykøbing Mors.
